Bhilai, Dec 29: On Saturday, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid obeisance at the Anand Math Temple in Village Kauhi, Patan and prayed for the welfare and progress of the state. CM offered prayers at Maa Kali Temple and the historical Lord Shiva Temple at this village.
Later addressing a public rally, Baghel said that Patan region holds historical importance. Several brave-hearts of this region participated in the freedom struggle and made supreme sacrifices for the motherland. The region has also remained in leading position in the sector of education. People of this region have remained politically active and aware since long and due to this reason only he is a born politician. Baghel added that the denizens elected him for the fourth term. He expressed gratitude towards the denizens of the region as this time he was not only elected as MLA but was elected as Chief Minister.
Baghel reiterated that the Congress Government will fulfill all the promises as the denizens have shown confidence on the party. He further said that after being sworn in as the Chief Minister, the first file he signed was of agriculture loan waiver. He added that the farmers are the ‘annadata’ and all the promises made to him will be fulfilled positively. Baghel further said that the provisions will be made for Rs 2500 MSP of paddy in the next budget so that the difference amount could be transferred in the accounts of the farmers. He further said that Chhattisgarh became the first state which fixed the paddy MSP at Rs 2500 per quintal. Chief Minister further emphasized on developing the rural areas for increasing the profit of poor, labours and farmers. He explained the significance of irrigation facilities, cattle rearing, gobar gas, upgrading the breed of cattle for better milk production, etc. Local elected representatives, members of District Panchayat and Janpad and villagers in large number attended this function.
