Annual Day celebrated at DAV Hudco
Bhilai, Feb 05, 2019: DAV Public School Hudco, Bhilai, celebrated Annual Function for its Senior wing on recently on the theme “Parenting” with grand gusto and ardour. Tamradhwaj Sahu (Cabinet Minister, Home, PWD, Jail, Tourism) was the chief guest of the function. The other guests present for the occasion were Kritika Sinha (Ex-DAVian and presently Assistant Director, Town and Country Planning Officer, Bilaspur, CG Govt), Ravi Arya (Arya Samajist), N Mahapatra, Ravi Bhaskaran (Principal DAV ACC Jamul), Dr BP Sahu (Principal DAV Nandini), Chetna Sharma (Principal, DAV Monnet, Raipur), and Raksha Singh (Principal, Shankaracharya College, Junwani). The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished personages. Prashant Kumar (Deputy Regional Officer, DAV Institutions, Zone A and Principal DAV Public School, Hudco, Bhilai) read out the School Annual Report and was followed by the portrayal of fabulous cultural programmes and a glittering performance of the school. The felicitation of the school and subject toppers of various streams, students who got full attendance, Best Student, Best all-rounder, Best Sports Person, Best Reader and Cash Awards who scored above 90% in class VI’ and the toppers in class XIIth was a proud juncture. Chief Guest Tamradhwaj Sahu applauded DAV’s endeavor and stated that Parenting is a lifelong journey. As parents, we have an important responsibility. Every parent wants to be a good parent and role model for our children. But effective parenting is not easy. It is a journey of trial and error, continuous learning and growing together with your child. Good education is constructive in nature which constructs our future forever.
The spectacular extravaganza performances of Socio-Cultural heritage were an artistic amalgamation of dance and theatrical performances which enthralled all present on the occasion. The proficiency with which the children displayed their skills and talents left the congregation overjoyed and overwhelmed with emotions.
The Cultural Programme commenced with a scintillating welcome dance. Students presented the most awaited English and Hindi drama accentuating the theme of the function. English Drama titled “The Bond of Love” and Hindi skit “Agnipath” emphasized on the ill effects on the children due to the negligence of their parents. In the midst of the play, the children very cleverly promulgated the participation of the budding talents. Next concert was a bhajan unveiled in an angelic voice of the choir group which made the entire space echo. Students dazzled the congregators with Gujarati folk dance, bangra dance, and contemporary dance. The cherry on the top was Master and Miss Day contest where the finalist walked the ramp and enthralled everyone. The theme based dance “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara where even teachers lended to an exuberant performance was an icing on the cake. All the presentations were a perfect combination of co-ordination and grace. Overall it was an evolution which unveiled a new face of DAV, Hudco.
Biji A Kumar (In-charge Sr Wing) proposed the vote of thanks. The programme culminated with the Shanti Path followed by National Anthem.
