Bhilai, Dec 30: On Sunday, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the convention of Manva Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj at village Changori of Patan Block. The Chief Minister was accorded rousing welcome by the members of Kurmi Samaj. Samaj President Ramkumar Sirmour welcomed the CM with citation. The Samaj leaders termed Baghel as pride of the Manva Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj.
In his address, Baghel stated that he won the elections with the blessings and support of youth, farmers and people of all sections. He asserted that for the first time the people have elected a Chief Minister from amongst themselves.
He emphasized on the need of re-establishing the traditional rural economic system in the villages for bringing prosperity in the rural areas. He added that the happy and prosperous Chhattisgarh can be established by development of the rural areas. He added that there is no dearth of finances for development of the state. The only need is proper vision for development.
Baghel further said that the time has come to fulfill the dreams of visionaries of Chhattisgarh. He remembered the great personalities including Late Dr Khubchand Baghel, Shri Atmanand, Late Chandulal Chandrakar, Late Mini Mata, Late Thakur Pyarelal, and Late Barrister Chhedilal and spoke about their dreams for Chhattisgarh state. He emphasized in collective efforts for making the dreams of the ancestors come true. Speaking about the Manva Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj, he said that the samaj has made significant contributions for development and progress of the state.
