Bhilai, Feb 16, 2019: On Saturday, Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey said that two significant decisions regarding farmers have created an atmosphere of joy and festivity. The waiver of loans and increasing the Paddy MSP to Rs 2500 has provided monetary assistance to the farmers who were facing financial crisis. These two decisions are very significant in the interests of the state. These initiatives would enhance the condition of farming, said Choubey while addressing a programme of Dewangan Samaj at Patan.
Choubey further said that up keeping the Chief Minister’s ideology of “Chhattisgarh ke Chaar Chinhari, Narwa – Ghurwa – Garuwa aur Baadi, Ela Bachana he sangwari”, the government is working for developing the rural economy. The canals and nullahs are being recharged for providing water to farms as well as rising the ground water level. With proper ‘Gauthans’ in the villages, the cattle would be used in a better manner.
In her address, Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhedia said that the smile on the face of farmers gives her immense satisfaction. Government is making all possible efforts for promotion of farming. She added that the progress of state’s economy depends on the agriculture sector. Agriculture can be developed with satisfaction of the farmers.
