Three tier security in place with “Access control”
Bhilai, Dec 10, 2018: On Monday, the District Police and Security Personnel deployed at the vote counting venue / strong room conducted final rehearsal of security arrangement at the campus of Shri Shankaracharya Engineering College in Junwani. Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Sanjeev Shukla addressed the assembly of the security personnel and gazette officers and gave them necessary directions over various issues.
Police have made ‘Zero Error’ police arrangements on the principle of ‘Access Control’ at the vote counting centre. The cops will ensure that the provisions of Section 144 are not violated in any condition. The cops were detailed about the Gate Passes of different colours which have been issued for different category of people who are to be allowed at the vote counting venues. Final review of the security arrangement was conducted by the top cops in association with the local administration officials. District Police have made separate arrangements to ensure law and order during the victory processions of the winning candidates. The cops will ensure that the processions are taken out only after getting permission as the Model Code of Conduct is in force.
Vehicle parking arrangements have been made at the venue for different category of visitors. Vehicle parking should be allowed only after checking the gate pass. DSP (Traffic) Gurjeet Singh informed that the government officials those who have been deployed on election duty will enter the premises from Maharashtra Bank gate and park their vehicles near auditorium. The candidates and their agents will approach towards the venue from the Anjora By-pass and park their vehicles besides D-Mart on the ground. The vehicles of media persons and police persons will also enter from D-Mart side only and park their vehicles at the marked place. The vehicles with gate pass will only be allowed to enter the parking area. The vehicles without parking pass will not be allowed. The road in front of SSTC will be closed for general traffic on the day. The common vehicles will be diverted from Junwani Square towards Karhideeh. The Nehru Nagar – Anjora Bypass will also remain closed for all vehicles. The vehicles parked on the national highway will be lifted with the help of cranes and will be penalized.
