Bhilai, Mar 05, 2019: State government is committed for developing the Devbaloda and making it popular as a tourist spot. Beautification, restoration and conveyance facilities will be developed for this heritage spot, said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the Devbaloda Mahotsava in Old Bhilai. It needs to be mentioned here that the two-day Devbaloda Mahotsava, an annual cultural programme was inaugurated March 04. This annual festival is organised every year at Shiv Temple in Devbaloda built during the Kalachuri dynasty rule in 13th century. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was the chief guest of the function.
Chief Minister said that Devbaloda Temple is the heritage of this region and all possible efforts will be made for developing this area. He extended greetings of Mahashivratri to the denizens and appreciated the efforts of organising Devbaloda Mahotsava every year. He added that this event is an effective medium of enriching the culture of this region. The artists gave attractive presentations during this event.
Chief Minister urged the people to utilise the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri for taking pledge of de-addiction and saying no to tobacco, alcohol and other intoxicants. Baghel said that Lord Shiva is also known as Ashutosh, the form of Shiva who is highly compassionate and merciful. Any virtuous initiative taken on this occasion would definitely become successful, he said. Chief Minister extended greetings to the organizers of Devbaloda Festival and asserted that the popularity of this ancient heritage place is increased significantly. CM felicitated the artists those who gave performances at the event.
