Bhilai, Mar 04, 2019: On Monday, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel paid obeisance to Lord Shiva at the temple situated on the banks of River Sheonath at Thakuraintola. He made offerings to Lord Shiva and prayed for the welfare and development of all. Later addressing a gathering organized by Nishad Samaj, Baghel expressed contentment on receiving the opportunity of visiting the temple and meeting the common people there.
He appreciated the Nishad Samaj for their significant working towards de-addiction. He added that the volunteers of de-addiction campaign should take the opportunity of making the people pledge for saying no to tobacco and alcohol on this auspicious day. He added that the strong social initiatives give impressive results.
Baghel further said that Lord Shiva symbolizes Yoga, Meditation and Endeavor. Mahashivratri is the most auspicious occasion to initiate efforts in these directions. He further said that the state government has taken significant decisions in the last 75 days for every section of the society. The big decisions of agriculture loan waiver and increasing the Minimum Support Price to Rs 2500 per quintal. State government has made significant provisions in the budget for welfare and development of the farmers. The state government is formulating policies for strengthening the “Char Chinhari” of Chhattisgarh. Working has begun for developing the Gauthans at every village for promoting animal husbandry.
Baghel further said that earlier on the day he offered prayers at Jaleshwar Mahadev Temple in Kawardha and attended a farmers’ convention there. The farmers are highly excited the decisions of loan waiver and MSP hike. CM assured to continue working for welfare and progress of the farmers.
