In remembrance of former PM Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee
Bhilai, Sep 17: On Sunday, Vishnu Deo Sai (Minister of State for Steel, GOI) arrived Steel City to attend Kavyanjali, organized here at Bhilai Niwas in remembrance of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Local poets recited poems in tribute to the late PM. The programme was also attended by Revenue and Higher Education Minister Prem Prakash Pandey.
On Monday, Vishnu Deo Sai on the second day of his visit, planted saplings in Bhilai Niwas to kick-off the Sewa Saptah (Week) in remembrance of Atal Ji. He was accompanied by Ajay Sharma (CEO, District Panchayat, Jashpur), Anil Kumar (Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Steel), M Ravi (CEO, BSP) and senior members of the Bhilai Management Team.
Thereafter, Sai visited the JLN Hospital, Sector 9 and distributed fruits to the patients in the Hospital. He attended a programme of under-privileged and differently abled children of Muskan and students of BSP run schools at the Multipurpose Hall of Bhilai Niwas. The programme was held in memory of Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. At the outset the dignitaries garlanded the portrait of the late former PM. Thereafter, students of EMMS, Sector-9 welcomed the guests with songs.
The programme featured video of songs sung by differently abled students of Muskan. The programme also featured poem on August 15, recital of a poem of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee and also a poetry recital on the life of the great leader. Members of Muskan Sewa Dal were specially present. On this occasion Vishnu Deo Sai felicitated the differently abled and under-privileged children with gifts and mementos. Vijay Mairal outlined the programme and its relevance and shed light on the activities of Muskan.
