Bhilai, Feb 04, 2019: The executives of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) in association with the executives of other PSUs and banks conducted a Maha Morcha in New Delhi on Monday. The executives of SAIL are protesting against the Affordability Clause, which was introduced in the 3rd PRC. The affordability clause has eclipsed the wage revision of SAIL and RINL executives. It was the second mega rally which is being jointly staged by the executives of different PSUs. Earlier, one such rally was staged on June 19, 2018.
Steel Executives Federation of India (SEFI) Chairman and BSP- Officers Association President Narendra Kumar Banchor, BSP – OA General Secretary Shahid Ahmad, Vice Presidents Parvinder Singh, Sunil Ksheersagar, Secretaries Shovan Ghosh, Remi Thomas, SEFI Nominee Ajay Kumar, Vice President (Mines) Santosh Kumar and others participated in this demonstration.
The core issues raised through this demonstration were stopping all moves towards Privatization / seeking government support for revival of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). Ensuring assured Pension for all; removing affordability clause for Pay Revision in PSUs; and allotting 4G Spectrum to BSNL and MTNL.
It needs to be mentioned here that AIPCOC/ NCOA, NEC GOA had organized this ‘Maha Morcha’ at the National Capital, Delhi on various issues concerning the entire officers fraternity working in various Central Govt establishments, Public Sector Undertakings, Public Sector Banks etc.
The Maha Morcha commenced in the form of a massive ‘jatha’ from Modern School, Barakhamba Road and proceeded towards Parliament Street (Sansad Marg) via Tolstoy Marg and finally culminated into the ‘Morcha’ at Jantar Mantar, Parliament Street to submit memorandum to Prime Minister. The rally was addressed by AIPCOC/ NCOA/AIBOC leadership, Members of Parliament, leadership of fraternal organizations as well as leaders of various central trade unions and eminent citizens.
