Bhilai, Dec 08, 2018: On Saturday, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Sanjeev Shukla chaired a meeting of the officials and personnel deployed at the Strong Room / Counting Centre during the counting of votes on December 11. It needs to be mentioned here that the counting of votes for the six assembly seats of Durg District will be conducted at the campus of Shri Shankaracharya Engineering College in Junwani on December 11. District Police has made foolproof security arrangement for ensuring trouble free completion of the process. SSP directed the cops to remain vigilant at the vote counting venue and not to allow any unexpected activity at the Counting Venue. He reviewed the security arrangements at the venue.
Deputy Collector Sanjay Agrawal detailed the cops about the rules and regulations that are to be followed during counting of votes. He explained about the directives of Election Commission of India and expected security arrangements at the Vote Counting Venue. He reiterated the Check List that is to be followed before allowing the authorised people to enter the venue.
Additional SP (City) Vijay Pandey; Additional SP (Rural) Gopi Chand Meshram; Additional SP (Investigation Units – Crime Against Women) Pragya Meshram; BSF officials; CSPs; SHOs and others deployed at Strong Room were present in the meeting.
