Bhilai, Mar 09, 2019: On Saturday, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel laid the foundation stone for construction of new administrative building of Hemchand Yadav University at Potia in Durg. While addressing the gathering, he remembered the contributions of Late Hemchand Yadav for the state. Baghel said that the achievements of Late Hemchand Yadav as an MLA and Minister will be remembered forever. He added that the new administrative building will prove to be very beneficial for the students.
Recollecting the old memories, Baghel said that earlier the students had to visit Sagar or Nagpur universities but today Chhattisgarh even has its own technical university. He assured that all efforts will be made for developing education.
In his address, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu said that Late Hemchand Yadav made great achievements during his meaningful and successful public life. He made great contributions for progress and development of the state. MLA Arun Vora said that the new Woman and Child Hospital as well as the new administrative building of Durg Varsity would prove to be very beneficial. Vice Chancellor Dilip Wasnikar (Divisional Commissioner) gave an elaborate description about the proposed building. He informed that it will be a five storied building and 40 acres of land have been allotted. 128 colleges including 61 government and 67 private colleges have been affiliated with Hemchand Yadav University. MLA Devendra Yadav and other dignitaries were present.
