Durg Lok Sabha seat to go on polls in third phase
Bhilai, Mar 04: On the last day of the filing of nomination papers for the third phase of polls, 11 candidates filed nominations for Durg Lok Sabha Constituency. Rajesh Dubey of Bhartiya Shakti Chetna Party, Kamlesh Kumar Nagrachi of Shiv Sena, Haider Bhati of Sarv Dharm Party, Sevak Ram Banjare of Rashtriya Jan Sabha Party, Pokhraj Meshram of Bharatiya Prajatantra Gandhi Gandhiwadi Krishak Dal, Fareed Mohammad Quraishi and Manharan Singh Thakur of Gondwana Republican Party, Independent candidates Sunil Markande, Pravin Tiwari, Manoj Kumar Gaikwad and Anurag Singh of Bharatiya Kishan Party filed nominations.
Therefore after the closing of the filing of nomination papers a total of 28 candidates have filed the papers. Earlier Vijay Baghel of Bharatiya Janata Party, Pratima Chandrakrakar of Congress had filed nomination. Apart from this, Rajkumar Gupta of Chhattisgarh Swabhiman Manch, Independent candidate Rakesh Yadav, Independent candidate Atmaram Sahu, Gitanjali Sinha of Bahujan Samaj Party, Deepak Kumar Chandra also of Bahujan Samaj Party, Independent candidate Anup Kumar Pandey, Malik Ram Thakur of Ambedkarite Party, independent candidates Ali Hussein Siddiqui and Harishchandra Sahu. Also, Treas David of Prajabandhu Party, Lokesh Kumar Mishra of Sangwari Minjhara Party, Arun Kumar Joshi of Swatantra Party, Pitamber Nishad of Bharat Prabhat Party and Swatantra Kumar Tiwari the candidate of the Azad Bharat Party filed nominations; Anurag Singh of the Bharatiya KIshan Party and Fareed Mohammed Qureshi of Gondwana Republican Party also both purchased and filed nomination. Kamlesh Kumar Nagricha of Shiv Sena filed the second copy of nomination papers.
