Bhilai, Dec 28: Take the villagers into confidence while resolving their grievance so that the link between governance and public becomes stronger, advised Tamradhwaj Sahu, the Minister for Home, Jail, Public Works, Dharmashwa, Tourism and Culture while addressing the villagers at the public grievance redressal camp in Umarpoti of Durg Block. The district level redressal camp was organised by the District Administration to resolve the grievances. He further said that though authorities are trying to resolve the grievances of the people through such camps still it needs to be made even better. He invited suggestions from the officials to improve the working of the camp and to make it popular. He told the officials to apprise the applicants with the real information regarding the status of the resolution of their problems. He said that in the changed environment, now the problems of the rural people should be addressed at the district level itself. In the camp where the Collector Umesh Agarwal and Superintendent of Police Prakhar Pandey were present, a total of 46 applications related to different departments have been received. Out of it 34 applications were resolved by the authorities on the spot, while time limit has been fixed for the resolution of the remaining 12 applications.
Highlighting the objectives of the camp, the Collector said that through the camp, the administration gets an opportunity to become aware of even the smallest problems of rural people. At the same time, solutions are provided to the problems of villagers there and then. He asked the officials to maintain full transparency while reviewing the applications received in the camp. Earlier at the outset, he inspected the sections of different departments and sought information about the grievances of villagers and departmental schemes etc.
In the camp, detailed information was given to the rural masses regarding the departmental works and various government schemes by the officers. Hearing aid was given to Bhuvanadas Manikpuri while Divyang Lekhraj Sahu was given wheelchair by the Social Welfare Department. Similarly, the Department of Health distributed walking sticks to Kaamdev, Chamman Sonawani and Ratan Lal. All the aforesaid things were distributed to the beneficiaries by the Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu. In the camp, Sarpanch Jhamit Gaikwad and Panchayat representative and SDM Kailash Verma, Janpad CEO Kanti Dhruv, officers from various departments and villagers in large number were present.
