Bhilai, Jan 03, 2019: On Thursday, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the new industrial policy will be framed soon for the Chhattisgarh state for promoting the agro industries with the industrialization process. Baghel was addressing the inauguration and bhoomipujan function of heavy industrial area Hathkhoj in Bhilai. On request of PHE Minister Guru Rudra Kumar, he announced that City Bus services will be launched soon in this area for providing economical public transport. He performed bhoomipujan for new building of District Industries Centre as well as construction of 4.25 kilometer concrete roads. He inaugurated a newly constructed road also.
In his address, Baghel said that Bhilai Steel Plant is the backbone of the state’s economy. The entire region witnessed industrial development after the establishment of Bhilai Steel Plant. Several ancillary industries have been established here which provide employment to large section of workmen. He further said that the state government is going to prepare a new industrial policy. For preparing a better policy, suggestions have been invited from the industrialists. The new policy will help in creating a favourable atmosphere for industries. He urged the industrialists to establish the agro industries in view of the agriculture based economy of the state.
Baghel further assured to take positive steps over the proposals of transport nagar, fire brigade, training center for labours, and arrangement of food for labours at low prices. On demand of the Ahiwara MLA and Cabinet Minister Guru Rudra Kumar, he asked to prepare a proposal for 100-bed hospital.
Cabinet Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu said that there was need to ease the formalities and rules for establishment of industries. There should be a balance between the small and large industries. The young entrepreneurs should be provided sufficient support for establishing industries. Cabinet Minister Kawasi Lakhma emphasized on establishing pollution free industries and generating more and more employment opportunities. MLA DEvendra Yadav, local industrialists and common people were present on the occasion.
