Bhilai, Feb 23, 2019: On Saturday, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the state level convention of Prantiya Kotwar Sangh at Patan. The association felicitated the Chief Minister and submitted a charter of demands to the CM. In his address, Chief Minister announced 35 kilograms of rice every month to the families of Kotwars. He further announced to provide employment to them under MGNREGA.
Baghel further said that Kotwars accomplish their duties with dedication. They perform the tasks of administration and government with honesty. For this reason only, Kotwars have a respectful position in the villages. If any outsider visits the village, he has to meet the Kotwar and discuss the purpose of visit.
Chief Minister further said that the necessary documents will be examined over the issue of providing ownership of the land allotted to Kotwars. He assured that all the demands raised by Kotwars will be taken into serious consideration. Elected representatives and members of Kotwar Sangh were present on the occasion.
