Bhilai, Jan 13: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday attended the talent felicitation cum family get together function of the Yadav community organised at Nehru House of Culture, Sector-1. While addressing the function, the Chief Minister said that members of the “Raut Samaj” represent a financially weak community of the society that toils hard throughout to earn a livelihood. Now is the time to make Yadav community self-reliant and prosperous, he added. He further added that the government has decided to make efforts in this direction and now the Yadav community will not have to depend on “barwahi” as the government has decided to give honorarium to the shepherds. The byres in the villages will be systematized and strengthened. By promoting dairy farm, it will be converted into a mechanism for self-employment so that the state becomes rich in milk and milk products which in turn would give a facelift to the villages. The cow dung would be used for gas plant and for organic farming.
The Chief Minister further said that for the first time three representatives from Yadav community have been elected in the state assembly. These elected representatives from the community are dedicated and passionate about social service. He said that when a person of the community reaches a position, the entire society feels proud and it is essential for the person that he gives a meaningful contribution in the development and direction of society.
The Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel honoured martys Kaushal Yadav and Chumman Yadav’s mothers with shawl and coconut.
Devender Yadav, MLA of Bhilai Nagar, who chaired the programme said that for the first time the state has got such a Chief Minister, who is worried about the welfare of Yadav community. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister, he said that Yadavas will make their contribution in the development of the state.
Among those present were Rampukar Yadav, MLA from Chandrapur, Dwarika Yadav MLA from Khallari, president of the community Santu Yadav and other eminent persons.
