Bhilai, Feb 24, 2019: Government would make all efforts to make the life of pensioners easy and smooth. All the demands that the pensioners have put forth will be examined minutely by the Chief Secretary. Thereafter necessary decision will be taken to find out satisfactory solution to the problems, said Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, while addressing a programme of the Chhattisgarh Pensioners Samaj organised in village Jamgaon (M), under Patan block.
The Chief Minister affirmed that the pensioners are natural guide of the village. People listen, respect and understand whatever the veterans say. Therefore, they can help make the villages better by sharing their experience through the government scheme of “Chhattisgarh ki Char Chinhari”. The priority of the government is Gothan as the livestock can be used effectively.
The Chief Minister said during his visit to Bemetara the other day to attend an agricultural fair, he happened to meet Mohit Sahu, a farmer of village Koparedih, who has been doing excellent use of organic manure being generated. Mohit has 12 cows and for 01 acre land that he has, the cow dung manure generated from 01 cow is enough to make the soil fertile. Thus he not only does organic farming but also sells vermi compost of about Rs 18,000/-. The Chief Minister urged every one to work in this manner only. Explaining the utility of the Gauthan he further said that fodder for the livestock has to be arranged at the Gauthan. The gauthan will have a hoop, shade, and platform.
He urged the pensioners to guide all for quality work in the area. He also added that village youth will be trained to make organic manure and bio gas plant. This will in turn help make rural youth self-reliant. Shepherds will also be strengthened financially. He further urged pensioners to share their experience and time. Good work can be done in this direction and the system of rural development could thus be strengthened, said the Chief Minister.
