Bhilai, Nov 01: 27 Candidates filed their nominations for six different constituencies of Durg District on the penultimate day of filing nominations for the second phase of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh state. With this, the total number of candidates those who filed their nominations till now has risen to 72 for six assembly seats. Those who filed their nominations on Thursday were Ajay Singhare (CJC-J); Hem Prasad Sahu (Ind); and Durga Jha (AAP) from Patan; Charulata Harmukh (Ind); Chumman Lal Deshmukh (Ind); and Satish Parakh (Ind) from Durg (Rural); Kanchan Bhondre (Ind); Brahma Tiwari (Ind); Sujata Singh (Bharatiya Panchayat Party); Atma Ram Sahu (SVCI Communist); Mahelka Begum Sheikh (Ind); and Suresh Verma (Ind) from Durg (Urban); Thanendra (Swabhimaan Party), Enul Khan (Bhrashtachar Mukti Party), Mohammad Naseem (Bahujan Karmi Party); and Ram Pyari (Ind) from Bhilai Nagar; Hemlata Sahu (INC); Tulsi Sahu (INC); and Kareem Khan (INC) from Vaishali Nagar; Guru Rudra Kumar (INC), Santosh Banjare (BSP); Shobha Ram Banjare (BSP); Ajay Ram (AAP); Gulshan Dhinde (BJP); Manoj Kumar Lehre (Ambedkar Party) and Ram Bagas (Ind) filed their nominations from Ahiwara constituency.
Nineteen people purchased nomination forms on the day. They were Balmukund Dewangan, Jageshwar Sahu, Sourabh Sharma, Manoj Kumar and Tamradhwaj Sahu from Durg (Rural); Subhash Kumar Pal from Durg (Urban); Anwaral Haq, Kishore Kumar Bharadwaj andAmrul from Bhilai Nagar; Ameer Chand Arora, Atul Chand Sahu, Tulsi Sahu, Arun Singh Sisodia, janissary Akhtar, Shiju Anthony, Lata Bai Nunhade and Deepak Kumar Dubey from Vaishali Nagar and Dharam Das Kurre and Paras Ram purchased nomination forms for Ahiwara seat.
