Bhilai, Jan 27: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel conducted special gram sabhas on the occasion of Republic Day for making the concept of “Narwa – Garuwa – Ghurwa – Baadi; Chhattisgarh Ke Char Chinhari” meaningful. This concept has been transformed into an ambitious project by the Chhattisgarh Government. CM conducted the Gram Sabhas at Village Panchayats Asoga, Teligudra and Bhansuli.
During these meetings, the proposal was unanimously approved to reserve land for “Gauthan” (a piece of land where entire cattle of the village are collectively kept for some time) and “Charagah” (grazing land). At Village Asoga, 2.13 hectare land was reserved for Gauthan while 15 acres of land was reserved for grazing land. At Teligudra, 3 acre of land was reserved fro Gauthan while 5 acres were reserved for grazing land. 3 acres of land for Gauthan while 13 acres of land for grazing land was reserved at village Bhansuli.
CM Bhupesh Baghel granted Rs 20 lakh for construction of Samrasta Bhavan in village Asoga. He also approved the projects of Mini Stadium and Gaurav Path. At village Teligudra, he directed the PHE officials to install a solar powered water pump set for meeting the household requirements. He inaugurated the newly constructed additional room at Aanganwadi as well as PDS Shop building.
At village Bhansuli, CM approved the project of constructing Sarwa Samaj Bhavan.
Addressing the gathering, CM said that efforts are being made to establish Gram Swaraj and Ram Rajya as imagined by Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi. CG Government is making efforts to strengthen the rural economy. “Narwa Bandhan” (canals and dams) will provide irrigation facilities while “Gauthan and Charagah” will promote animal husbandry; production of manures and organic farming. Gobar Gas Plants will be installed at Gauthans.
He further said that the first decision of the government to waive agriculture loans provided benefit of Rs 6230 crore to the farmers. The paddy is being procured at MSP of Rs 2500 per quintal. Research and Development works will be conducted for improving the cattle breeds for increasing the milk production. Leveling of Gauthan land will be conducted under Manrega programme. Baghel spoke about his plans for promoting education. Chhattisgarh Government is going to conduct recruitment to fill 1300 vacant posts in colleges and 15000 posts of teachers in schools.
